Femi Olaniyi Named SDP Consensus Candidate for Lagos 2027

Femi Olaniyi, popularly known as Ferrari, has emerged as the consensus governorship candidate for the Social Democratic Party (SDP) in Lagos State for the upcoming 2027 governorship elections. This announcement was made during the SDP governorship primary held on Tuesday in Somolu, Lagos, which was monitored by the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC).

Henri Amik, the chairman of the SDP governorship primary electoral committee in Lagos State, announced Olaniyi's unanimous adoption by party delegates from the 20 local government areas of the state. Adegboyega Adeniji, the chairman of the SDP governorship screening committee in Lagos State, described Olaniyi as a leader of integrity and competence.

Olaniyi expressed his commitment to enhancing security, improving infrastructure, creating jobs, and enhancing healthcare services across Lagos State. He emphasized that his mandate would focus on ensuring public order and safety, pledging to invest in technology-driven security systems.
