APC's Decline in Ogun State: Adedayo Predicts PDP Victory

Adedayo, the former Local Government chairman under the APC government of Governor Dapo Abiodun, declared that the APC is "gone" in Ogun State due to current political realities. Speaking on Channels Television’s Politics Today, he asserted that Ladi Adebutu, the governorship candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), is the candidate to beat in the upcoming 2027 gubernatorial election.

Adedayo emphasized that the election would bring "seismic changes," with many voters shifting their support to the PDP, which he believes will dominate the National Assembly, governorship, and State House of Assembly elections. He noted a decline in APC's popularity across all 20 local government areas in Ogun State.

Adedayo also addressed zoning issues, stating that the Ijebus had previously supported the Yewas but now believe it is time for a candidate from their own group, specifically Adebutu, to take the governorship seat. He urged voters to be informed about their candidates.
