Sule Denies Meeting Atiku in Saudi Arabia, Calls Reports False

Abdullahi Sule, the Governor of Nasarawa State, issued a statement denying claims that he secretly met with former Vice President Atiku Abubakar during a recent trip to Saudi Arabia for lesser hajj. Sule described the reports published by People Gazette as "complete fabrications," asserting that no such meeting occurred and that he was unaware of Abubakar's presence in Saudi Arabia.

He clarified that his trip was solely for religious purposes and not for any political discussions or financial support pledges aimed at defeating President Bola Tinubu in the 2027 elections. Sule's statement, released by his Chief Press Secretary Ibrahim Addra, emphasized his unwavering support for President Tinubu and accused certain political actors of attempting to damage their relationship.

He urged the public to disregard the false reports and called for a retraction and apology from People Gazette for publishing unverified information.
