Dickson Affirms Open Contest for NDC Positions in 2027

During the Nigerian Democratic Congress (NDC) first national convention in Abuja, Seriake Dickson, a prominent figure in the party, announced that every member is free to run for any position in the 2027 elections. Dickson emphasized that the NDC operates without factions and has no ongoing litigations, which he believes enhances the party's integrity.

He expressed confidence in the NDC's acceptance and enthusiasm among Nigerians, noting that the party has gained significant trust in a short period. Dickson also mentioned that the NDC was established to discover the people's democratic aspirations and that it has emerged from the former People's Democratic Party (PDP) without compromising its values.

He highlighted the NDC's commitment to overcoming bureaucratic and legal challenges to register with the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) based on a court order.
