Dickson to Launch NDC Selection Committee in Abuja

Seriak Dickson, the former Governor of Bayelsa State and current leader of the Nigerian Democratic Congress (NDC), is set to inaugurate a 21-member selection committee on Monday in Abuja. This initiative is part of the preparations for the upcoming general elections, aimed at streamlining the candidate selection process across various levels of elected offices.

According to a press statement signed by the party's National Public Secretary, Osa, the committee's establishment is intended to deepen internal democracy and strengthen the candidate selection process within the party. The committee will review the outcomes of screening exercises conducted for governorship and state assembly aspirants.

The committee, chaired by NDC National Chairman Sen. Mose Cleopa Zuwogh, is a product of recommendations from the national leadership of the party.

Dickson is also expected to host a dinner for aspirants on Monday at 6:00 PM in Abuja to foster unity and engagement within the party.
