NDC to Screen Aspirants Against Obi-Kwankwaso Influence

The Nigerian Democratic Congress (NDC) has announced that it will implement stringent screening measures for aspirants to prevent them from capitalizing on the popularity of Peter Obi, the presidential candidate of the Labour Party (LP) in the 2023 elections, and Rabiu Kwankwaso, the flagbearer of the New Nigeria Peoples Party (NNPP). The NDC's director made this known during an interview on Thursday, emphasizing that the party will not allow a repeat of past incidents where individuals rushed to join political platforms without proper vetting.

The NDC aims to ensure that candidates possess the necessary vision and credentials before being allowed to represent the party. The spokesman noted that the NDC has learned from previous experiences, particularly regarding aspirants who joined the Labour Party and later abandoned it for the All Progressives Congress (APC).

The party is committed to verifying the pedigree of all aspirants to uphold its principles and values.
