NRM's Esther Okereke Calls for Nigeria's Rescue from Crisis

Esther Okereke, the presidential candidate of the National Rescue Mission (NRM), called on Nigerian governments and political leaders to shift their focus from sharing power to sharing prosperity. This statement was made during the inauguration of the party's Presidential Campaign Council (PCC) in Abuja.

Okereke criticized the current political landscape, stating that campaigns have been overly noisy and should instead emphasize structure, evidence, and peace. She articulated the urgent need for Nigeria to be rescued from issues such as darkness, hunger, insecurity, joblessness, and hopelessness.

Additionally, Prince Chinedu Obi, the National Chairman of NRM, highlighted Nigeria's extraordinary advantages, including a large youthful population and vast agricultural potential. He stressed the importance of building institutions and accountability mechanisms to convert Nigeria's potential into tangible improvements for citizens.

Obi also discussed the necessity of a political and economic order based on social justice and the rule of law, advocating for a Nigerian system that aligns with the country's Constitution and democratic institutions.
