Nigerians Can Donate to NDC Campaign for 2027 Elections

Seriake Dickson, the national leader of the Nigeria Democratic Congress (NDC), stated that Nigerians will have the opportunity to contribute as little as N1,000 or N2,000 to support the party's campaign activities. This announcement was made during an interview on Arise Television on Wednesday.

Dickson emphasized that the NDC is the only political party in Nigeria that does not rely on government treasury funding, arguing against the influence of wealthy individuals on democracy. He expressed the need for ordinary Nigerians to participate in funding the campaign to help the oppressed break free from their oppressors.

Additionally, Dickson mentioned that the party is currently consulting on the formation of its presidential campaign council and will announce its members soon. He also urged the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC), security agencies, and other relevant bodies to ensure that the elections in 2027 are free, fair, and credible.
