Nine Political Parties Collect INEC Access Codes for 2027

The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) announced that nine political parties have successfully collected access codes necessary for uploading candidate information ahead of the 2027 general elections. This information was disclosed by Malam Haruna, a senior official at INEC, during a press briefing in Abuja.

The political parties that have obtained these access codes include Action Alliance (AA), African Democratic Congress (ADC), All Progressives Congress (APC), Labour Party (LP), National Democratic Congress (NDC), National Democratic Party (NDP), People's Redemption Party (PRP), and Social Democratic Party (SDP). Haruna emphasized that the access codes are to be collected by designated representatives from the political party secretariats, who must approach INEC with a declaration letter from their party leadership.

INEC has issued guidelines for candidate nominations and advised political parties to strictly adhere to the established rules.
