NRM's Dr. Esther Okereke Launches Campaign for 2027 Elections

Dr. Esther Okereke, the presidential candidate of the National Rescue Movement (NRM), inaugurated the party's Presidential Campaign Council, emphasizing her commitment to tackling insecurity, hunger, unemployment, and hopelessness in Nigeria if elected in the 2027 general elections. During the inauguration, held on a Tuesday, Okereke described the event as the launch of a "rescue team" for the nation, asserting that the NRM's approach to politics would focus on sharing prosperity rather than merely power.

She outlined the party's principles, which include legality, accountability, and the rule of law. The campaign council, structured to operate from the national level down to polling units, comprises 30 national directorates and various officials, with Chinedu Obi serving as chairman and Okereke as co-chairman.

Other key members include Dr Mustapha Umar Kumshe as deputy chairman and Hassan Aminu Ibrahim as secretary. Chinedu Obi stated that the NRM aims to restore Nigeria's potential through stronger institutions and effective leadership.
