Ondo Labor Leaders Endorse Tinubu for 2027 Election

A coalition of labor leaders in Ondo State, operating under the name Labour for Good Governance, has endorsed President Bola Ahmed Tinubu for his 2027 re-election bid. This decision was announced during a program in Akure organized by the Asiwaju Mandate Group (AMG).

Comrade Solomon Adelegan, President of Labour for Good Governance and former Vice President of the Nigeria Labour Congress (NLC), praised the Tinubu administration as the most worker-friendly in recent history, highlighting reforms in passport administration that have significantly reduced processing times. Adelegan also commended ongoing infrastructure projects, asserting that no previous government in Nigeria has matched Tinubu's development efforts.

Comrade Bosede Daramola, a former NLC Chairman in Ondo State, noted that the removal of the fuel subsidy has increased resources for state governments to fulfill their financial obligations, urging accountability for any governor unable to pay salaries. Olumuyiwa Asagunla, Director-General of AMG, stated that the endorsement was voluntary, reflecting the labor leaders' assessment of the administration's performance.
