Paddy Iyamu Seeks Oba Ewuare II's Blessings for 2027 Campaign

Hon. Paddy Iyamu, the All Progressives Congress (APC) candidate for Oredo Federal Constituency, visited the Oba of Benin, Oba Ewuare II, to seek royal blessings and prayers ahead of his campaign for the House of Representatives seat. During the visit in Benin City, Iyamu congratulated the monarch on his 10th anniversary on the throne.

The meeting was characterized by warmth, with the Oba offering prayers for Iyamu's campaign, stating, “It shall be well with you during the campaign,” and commending him for his humility and respect for the kingdom's traditions. Iyamu expressed gratitude for the royal reception, emphasizing the importance of seeking blessings from traditional leaders before commencing his political journey.

He stated, “I am the candidate for Oredo Federal Constituency, and it is only wise that before you go out to start dancing, you first come to the house of your father to seek his blessing.” This visit aligns with the growing political activities as candidates prepare for the 2027 general election.
