UVA Launches Campaign for Peaceful 2027 Elections

Unchained Vibes Africa (UVA), a cultural organization and social enterprise, launched an election integrity campaign in Abeokuta, Ogun State, to promote a violence-free environment for the 2027 general elections. The campaign includes the unveiling of an anthem titled “No Be War” and an audio track named “Your Choice,” which is a mid-tempo Afrobeats-R&B song designed to counter political hate speech.

Mr Ayodele Ganiu, the Founder and Director of UVA, emphasized the importance of peaceful conduct among political actors and religious leaders, warning against divisive rhetoric that could lead to violence. Ganiu highlighted the threats to national cohesion posed by inflammatory statements from politicians and religious leaders, urging a return to civic responsibility over sectarian loyalty.

The campaign also sets the stage for a short film premiere featuring veteran Nollywood actors, scheduled for September. Ganiu's remarks included a critique of the current political climate, where incitement and hate speech are prevalent.
