PDP's Doherty Advocates for Tinubu's Agenda in Lagos

Adedeji Doherty, a member of the People's Democratic Party (PDP), asserted that the PDP is the most capable party to effectively deliver President Bola Ahmed Tinubu's "Renewed Hope" agenda in Lagos State. During a media briefing in Abuja, Doherty criticized the state's inability to adequately support federal initiatives, particularly in education, healthcare, power, transport, and security.

He emphasized that despite Lagos being Nigeria's economic hub, it has not seen significant investment in critical sectors such as higher education and social infrastructure. Doherty announced a 10-point agenda aimed at addressing issues in roads, education, healthcare, housing, security, power, and youth empowerment.

He argued that without proper investment and support from the federal government, the benefits of the "Renewed Hope" agenda would not reach the grassroots level. He also mentioned the need for Lagos State to manage its resources effectively, especially in the power sector, to stimulate economic growth.
