PDP Chieftain Targets 90% Ekiti Votes for Tinubu

Dr. Oluwole Oluyede, a chieftain of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in Ekiti State, has announced his goal to secure 90% of the votes from registered voters in the state for President Bola Tinubu in the upcoming 2027 presidential election. Oluyede, who was the PDP governorship candidate in the June 20, 2026 Ekiti State Governorship Election, believes this ambitious target can be achieved through aggressive grassroots mobilization.

He called on members of the PDP, All Progressives Congress (APC), and other political groups to join in this effort, framing the election as an opportunity for development rather than a mere political contest. Oluyede expressed his belief that President Tinubu deserves a second term, advocating for the continuation of reform processes.

He plans to work closely with Ekiti State Governor Biodun Oyebanji and other stakeholders to reach this target, emphasizing the importance of building political bridges and strengthening state-federal relations. Oluyede also clarified that he has not abandoned politics despite a recent holiday, stating that he has engaged in consultations aimed at uniting political factions for the benefit of Ekiti and Nigeria.
