PDP Unveils Engineer Zakari as Taraba Governorship Running Mate

On Saturday in Jalingo, Senator Bwacha announced Engineer Zakari as his deputy governorship candidate for the 2027 Taraba State election. Bwacha stated that his campaign would be centered on integrity, transparency, and accountability, driven by a demand for effective leadership in the state.

He described the call to contest for the governorship as a service to the people rather than a personal ambition. Bwacha selected Engineer Zakari based on his strong service record, capacity, and acceptance among Taraba residents, rather than mere political calculations.

He called on the electorate to take ownership of their movement, emphasizing a commitment to leadership defined by service and developmental impact. Bwacha also warned against electoral rigging, asserting that members of the PDP faction aligned with Nyesom Wike would remain vigilant during the electoral process.

In his acceptance speech, Engineer Zakari expressed gratitude to the party leadership and Bwacha for his selection, pledging to uphold the confidence placed in him.
