PDP Confirms Participation in 2027 Elections Amidst Crises

On Tuesday, the spokesperson for a faction of the People's Democratic Party (PDP), Ememobong, provided assurances that the party will not cease to exist and will participate in the 2027 general elections. This statement was made during a meeting that included significant party members such as Oyo State Governor Seyi Makinde, Tanimu Turaki, Umar Damagum, former PDP Deputy National Chairman Bode George, former Minister Jerry Gana, and former Niger State Governor Babangida Aliyu.

The meeting aimed to discuss strategies to ensure the party's survival amidst ongoing internal crises. Ememobong emphasized that various legal and political strategies are being considered to maintain the party's eligibility for the upcoming elections.

He expressed confidence that clearer strategies would emerge from further deliberations scheduled for Wednesday.
