ADC Group Claims Plot Against Jude Dakur's Candidacy

The Plateau State ADC Concerned Youth Group has alleged that some individuals are trying to prevent Hon. Jude Dakur from becoming the African Democratic Congress (ADC) governorship candidate for the 2027 general elections.

In a statement issued on Thursday by spokesperson Jonathan Bulus, the group expressed concern over reports of lobbying for a replacement of Dakur, who they assert emerged as the most popular aspirant during the party's primary process. Bulus criticized the actions of individuals not from Plateau State, questioning their motives in undermining the ADC.

He emphasized that any attempt to alter a valid nomination outside established procedures could harm the electoral process's credibility. The group mentioned Hashim Imam as one individual allegedly advocating for a change in the nominated candidate's name.

They urged ADC members to rely on official party documents and warned that any unauthorized changes would be legally challenged. The group plans to pursue their complaint through appropriate party and legal channels.
