ADC Alleges Plot to Replace Gubernatorial Candidate Sura

The African Democratic Congress (ADC) in Plateau State has alleged a scheme to replace its gubernatorial candidate, Brigadier John Sura (rtd). Honourable Dung Dawan Pam, the party's state chairman, stated that influential groups are covertly trying to substitute Sura’s name to promote their preferred candidate.

He affirmed that party chairmen across the 17 Local Government Areas support Sura, who was elected through democratic processes. Pam called on the national working committee to prevent any interference with the uploading of Sura's name to the INEC portal.

He revealed that the National Secretariat previously mentioned an alternative list with a different candidate, which they halted, but new attempts have emerged. Pam insisted that the people's choice must prevail and announced a meeting with the party's presidential candidate, Alhaji Atiku Abubakar, and National Chairman Senator David Mark, as the deadline for candidate uploads approaches.
