APC Senate Leader Warns Against Alliances with ADC

Opeyemi Bamidele, the Senate Leader, addressed members of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Ekiti State, warning them against forming alliances with opposition parties, specifically the African Democratic Congress (ADC). During a meeting in Ado Ekiti, he highlighted the potential for disloyalty and the need for party members to remain committed and steadfast.

Bamidele noted that the ADC is actively seeking to expand its membership base by exploiting dissatisfaction among APC members. He emphasized the importance of effective internal management to prevent any implosion within the APC, especially with upcoming party primaries approaching.

Bamidele clarified that the electoral framework allows for two modes of candidate selection: consensus and direct primaries. He urged all aspirants to participate in the primaries, regardless of the outcome, and advised against viewing electoral setbacks as personal failures.

Sola Eleshin, the Ekiti APC chairman, supported Bamidele's call for unity and expressed confidence in the party's performance in the district.
