Kano Emirate Calls for Prayers Ahead of 2027 Elections

The Kano Emirate, represented by the Sadauki of Kano, Awal Ado Bayero, alongside Islamic scholars, has urged Nigerians to intensify prayers for a peaceful, credible, and successful 2027 general election. This appeal was made during a Qur’anic graduation ceremony, where leaders emphasized the need for tolerance, discipline, and responsible conduct among citizens.

Bayero highlighted that the teachings of the Qur’an could foster peaceful coexistence and good character, particularly as the country approaches the elections. He encouraged graduates to view their Qur’anic studies as a lifelong commitment to uphold the values learned.

The ceremony also featured remarks from Katsina State First Lady, Dr. Aisha Bala Muhammed, and the wife of the Speaker of the Bauchi State House of Assembly, Hajia Abi Hafsat Abubakar Y. Suleiman, who stressed the significance of moral upbringing in preparing children for responsible citizenship.

The Principal of the Abuja National Mosque Academy, Dr. Shehu Usman Mohamad, noted that Qur’anic education aims to cultivate Muslims who apply its teachings in daily life.
