PDP Chieftain Kunle Ayorinde Defects to APC Over Access Issues

Kunle Ayorinde, a chieftain of the People's Democratic Party (PDP) in the Ibadan North East Local Government Area of Oyo State, has officially defected to the All Progressives Congress (APC). In a statement made to the Daily Post on Wednesday, Ayorinde, a retired civil servant, expressed his dissatisfaction with the current administration led by Governor Seyi Makinde.

He claimed that despite his support for Makinde during the 2019 elections, he felt neglected and unrecognized, particularly regarding job compensation. Ayorinde attempted to meet with Governor Makinde to discuss these issues but alleged that the powers that be obstructed his access.

He emphasized that his decision to join the APC was motivated by a lack of support and recognition from the PDP and expressed hope for better opportunities within the APC.
