Peter Obi Responds to FBI Records Allegation by Omokri

Peter Obi, the 2027 presidential candidate of the Nigerian Democratic Congress, addressed allegations made by Reno Omokri, Nigeria’s ambassador-designate to Mexico and former presidential spokesman, regarding FBI records. During an interview on the City Boy Movement Podcast, Omokri claimed that all 2027 presidential candidates, including Obi, have records with the United States Federal Bureau of Investigation, although he clarified that these may not be criminal records.

In response, Obi stated during an interview in Washington, DC, that he is unaware of any FBI file associated with him. He urged the FBI to release any records they may have, emphasizing that a person seeking public office should be open to scrutiny.

Obi remarked, “I don’t even know who the FBI is. If they have found any files about me, I don’t know.

I have not met with any FBI.” He further asserted that if there is an FBI file on him, it should be made public.
