Shinkafi Backs Yari for Tinubu/Shettima Campaign Council

Sani Abdullahi Shinkafi, a former National Secretary of the All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA) and an aspirant for the Zamfara North Senatorial District seat in the 2027 elections, has endorsed Senator Abdul’Aziz Abubakar Yari's appointment to lead the Tinubu/Shettima re-election campaign council. In a statement issued on Saturday, Shinkafi commended President Bola Ahmed Tinubu for this decision, citing Yari's extensive grassroots experience, organizational skills, and broad political network.

Shinkafi noted that Yari's political career began with the defunct All Nigeria Peoples Party (ANPP) in Zamfara State and highlighted his role in the successful re-election campaign of former Governor Ahmad Sani Yarima in 2003. He also mentioned Yari's experience as National Treasurer of the ANPP and his tenure in the House of Representatives from 2007 to 2011.

Shinkafi emphasized Yari's contributions to the APC's formation in Zamfara and his understanding of party structures, which would benefit the campaign council. He urged APC members and stakeholders to support the campaign under Yari's leadership.
