Tinubu Urges Folarin to Unite Oyo APC Ahead of 2027

On a late Tuesday meeting at the Presidential Villa in Abuja, President Bola Tinubu urged Senator Teslim Folarin, the Renewed Hope Ambassador of Oyo State, to reconcile feuding members of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Oyo State. The discussion centered on the emergence of the party's governorship candidate, Senator Sharafadeen Abiodun Alli.

Folarin, along with other party chieftains, had previously met to strategize for Tinubu's 2027 election campaign, but did not address the governorship election, leading to tensions within the party. Concerns arose regarding the party's reward system, as members felt that those who did not contribute to the party's unity were favored in appointments.

The situation escalated, prompting the Presidency to intervene, with Alli also initiating diplomatic efforts to ease tensions among party members.
