Adebayo Critiques Tinubu, Shettima's Leadership Ahead of 2027

On Tuesday, Adewale Adebayo, the presidential candidate for the Social Democratic Party (SDP), expressed strong criticism of President Bola Tinubu and Vice President Kashim Shettima, stating they embody the type of leadership that Islamic teachings warn Muslims against. Adebayo made these remarks during an appearance on Arise Television's morning show, where he dismissed the idea of a Muslim-Muslim ticket for the upcoming 2027 presidential election.

He argued that Tinubu and Shettima do not represent justice, truth, honesty, kindness, or charity, and cautioned voters against supporting leaders who he believes exploit the populace. Adebayo's comments come in the context of speculation regarding Shettima potentially dropping a Christian running mate, although Tinubu has recently confirmed Shettima as his running mate for the 2027 presidential election.
