ADC Labels Tinubu's Campaign Council a Corruption Haven

The African Democratic Congress (ADC) has condemned President Bola Ahmed Tinubu's 2027 campaign council, referring to it as a "rehabilitation centre" for individuals with unresolved corruption allegations. The ADC's National Publicity Secretary, Mallam Bolaji Abdullahi, questioned the inclusion of former Humanitarian Affairs Minister Betta Edu and former NSITF Chairman Ngozi Olejeme, citing Edu's suspension over an attempted transfer of N585 million into a private account and Olejeme's prosecution by the EFCC for financial malpractice.

Abdullahi demanded transparency regarding the status of their corruption cases, suggesting that their appointments might signify a pardon for corrupt officials associated with the APC. He criticized the administration for allowing corruption allegations to fade once individuals become politically advantageous.

The ADC asserted that the 2027 general election would serve as a referendum on Tinubu's three-year record, highlighting the ongoing cost-of-living crisis and poverty exacerbated by government policies. The party reiterated its commitment to fuel subsidy under the Atiku Economic Recovery Plan (AERP) to alleviate economic burdens.
