APM Calls Tinubu's Campaign Council "Dead on Arrival"

The Allied Peoples’ Movement (APM) has publicly denounced President Bola Tinubu’s Campaign Council, declaring it “dead on arrival.” In a statement released on Saturday, APM’s National Publicity Secretary, Abubakar Yusuf, criticized the council as indicative of the Tinubu administration's declining popularity and its failure to attract credible politicians. Yusuf specifically condemned the appointment of former Zamfara State Governor Abdul-Aziz Yari as the Director-General of the campaign council, arguing that Yari’s tenure was marked by increased insecurity and deteriorating living conditions in Zamfara State.

He asserted that if President Tinubu could not assemble a competent team after three and a half years in office, it demonstrated a lack of capability to lead Nigeria effectively. The APM further characterized the campaign council members as “known political sycophants, inconsistent characters and ideological turncoats,” reinforcing their stance on the ineffectiveness of the council.
