ADC Labels Tinubu's Campaign Council a Corruption Hub

The African Democratic Congress (ADC) has condemned President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s 2027 campaign council, referring to it as a “rehabilitation centre” for individuals facing unresolved corruption allegations. In a statement from Bolaji Abdullahi, the ADC National Publicity Secretary, the party questioned the inclusion of former officials Betta Edu and Ngozi Olejeme, highlighting Edu's suspension by Tinubu over a controversial transfer of N585 million and Olejeme's prosecution by the EFCC for financial malpractices.

The ADC demanded clarity on whether these corruption cases have been resolved, suggesting that the appointments may indicate a pattern of pardoning corrupt officials. The party asserted that the upcoming 2027 general election will serve as a referendum on Tinubu's performance, criticizing the administration for its handling of corruption and the economic hardships faced by Nigerians.

The ADC also reiterated its commitment to subsidizing fuel production to alleviate the cost of living crisis.
