ADC Accuses Tinubu Administration of Enabling Corruption

The African Democratic Congress (ADC) has accused President Bola Tinubu's administration of allowing corruption to flourish, claiming it has enjoyed "great freedom" under his government. Bolaji Abdullahi, the ADC's National Publicity Secretary, articulated this position while discussing the party's characterization of corruption as "economic banditry." This term is part of the ADC's Governance Principles and Code of Ethics, known as the Orange Book, which guides its members and public officials.

Abdullahi emphasized that corruption is as damaging to the nation as violent crime, equating it to economic banditry due to its detrimental effects on lives and the economy. He criticized the Tinubu administration for allegedly providing a conducive environment for corruption and for appointing individuals facing corruption allegations.

Abdullahi stated that if elected, the ADC would prioritize the fight against corruption in its governance agenda and called on Nigerians to support their efforts to challenge the current administration.
