Olarewaju Denies Rule Violation in APC Primary Election

Ibrahim Olarewaju, who served as a senior special assistant to President Bola Tinubu, issued a statement on Wednesday denying any wrongdoing in relation to his recent victory in the APC primary election for the Ekiti North Federal Constituency II seat. He emphasized that he did not violate any rules or regulations, asserting that he had complied with the legal requirements that necessitate political appointees to resign before contesting elections.

Olarewaju's statement clarified that he had adhered to the rules set forth by the APC and the constitution, which took effect on March 31, 2026. He described the party's primary process as transparent and democratic, and he expressed gratitude for the support he received from the grassroots, which he attributed to his unwavering commitment to the people of his constituency.

Olarewaju firmly rejected any claims suggesting that his participation in the primary election was in violation of the law.
