Tinubu's Government Commits to Credible 2027 Elections

On Tuesday in Abuja, Mohammed Idris, the Minister of Information and National Orientation, reaffirmed the Federal Government's commitment to facilitating peaceful, credible, and transparent elections in 2027. He emphasized that the integrity of elections is influenced by the security environment, the credibility of institutions, and the professionalism of the media.

Idris stated that under President Bola Tinubu's administration, the security and welfare of Nigerians are fundamental responsibilities. He noted the need to combat terrorism, banditry, and misinformation, particularly with the rise of Artificial Intelligence.

Senator Abdul’Aziz Yari Abubakar, representing Zamfara West, stressed that insecurity should not solely be the responsibility of security agencies and urged collective action from political leaders and citizens. Major General O.T.
