PDP Backs Jones Onyereri for Imo West Senate Race

The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in Imo has expressed strong confidence in its prospects for the Imo West Senatorial District ahead of the 2027 general election. The party urged its members and campaign structures to enhance grassroots mobilization across the Orlu zone.

In a statement by State Publicity Secretary Lancelot Obiaku, the PDP endorsed Rt. Hon. Jones Onyereri as their senatorial candidate, highlighting his legislative experience and connections.

Following the inauguration of Onyereri’s senatorial campaign council, Obiaku encouraged party leaders and supporters to spread the message of “a new beginning” throughout every ward and polling unit. Onyereri, who previously served eight years in the House of Representatives representing Nkwerre/Isu/Nwangele/Njaba Federal Constituency, has a record of constituency projects in education, infrastructure, and youth empowerment.

His achievements include the provision of transformers, construction of school facilities, and facilitating employment opportunities for youths.
