212 Students Achieve First Class in 2025 Bar Finals

The Nigerian Law School announced the results of the 2025 Bar Finals, revealing that 212 students emerged with first-class honors from a total of 7,602 candidates who registered for the examination held in December 2025. This figure represents 2.8% of the total candidates, showing a slight decline compared to the 2024 Bar Finals, where 260 students achieved first-class honors, accounting for 3.6%.

Additionally, 1,216 students earned second-class upper division, while 2,961 candidates secured second-class lower division, and 314 candidates obtained conditional passes. A total of 1,067 students failed the examination, which temporarily halts their aspirations to be called to the Nigerian Bar.

Furthermore, 210 registered candidates were absent during the examination, impacting the overall statistics. The results were released under the leadership of Dr.

Gbemi Odusote, the first female director of the Nigerian Law School, who continues to uphold the institution's reputation for academic excellence and strict disciplinary standards.
