25 Groups Pledge to Refund Fubara's Nomination Fee

A coalition of twenty-five groups has committed to refunding the fifty million naira nomination fee paid for Governor Siminalayi Fubara of Rivers State, who is seeking a second term under the All Progressives Congress (APC). The announcement was made by Jinadu Suleiman, the coalition's spokesman, during a press briefing in Abuja.

The groups, including the Coalition of Greater Nigeria Group (GNG) and various pro-democracy and civil organizations, expressed their confidence in Fubara's leadership and highlighted his achievements over the past three years, which they believe warrant his re-election. They noted that despite distractions and challenges, Fubara's administration has made significant progress, including the renovation of government facilities and the construction of various infrastructure projects.

The coalition aims to demonstrate strong support for Fubara, indicating that his performance has resonated positively with citizens both at home and abroad.
