37 Students Missing After Borno School Terror Attack

On Monday, a terrorist attack occurred at the Government Day Secondary School in Lassa, Askira Uba Local Government Area, Borno State, resulting in 37 students being reported missing. The attack led to the abduction of an unspecified number of students and the death of two teachers.

Parents, including Emmanuel Dari and Mbula Bura, reported their daughters, 16-year-old Luci Emmanuel and 19-year-old Esther Mbula, missing. The state government has initiated a registration process for families to report missing persons.

The Nigerian Army confirmed the rescue of 10 victims, including students and teachers, during military operations in the Daggu area. The operation involved ground troops and air support, resulting in the successful rescue of the victims without injury.

The military also engaged in firefights with the terrorists, recovering seven motorcycles. Efforts to locate the remaining missing students continue.
