Borno Governor's Delegation Visits Lassa After School Attack

Following a school attack in Lassa, Borno State Governor Zulum dispatched a delegation led by Engr. Lawan Abba Wakilb, which included Hon.

Samaila Satumari and Dr. Juliana Bitru, among others.

The delegation met with parents of affected students, who expressed anxiety over the safety of their children. Engr.

Wakilb conveyed the governor's sympathy to the families and assured them that the state government would work closely with security agencies and community leaders to ensure the safe return of missing students and staff. The delegation also visited the Government Girls Secondary School in Lassa and held a meeting with stakeholders, including the local government chairman, Hon.

Mada Saidu. The school was temporarily shut down as a precautionary measure, although students currently writing exams would be relocated to a secondary school in Uba to ensure academic activities continue uninterrupted.

Reports indicated that 39 individuals were affected by the attack, including three teachers and 36 students, with 25 females and 11 males among the missing students.
