60-Year-Old Man Found Dead in Jigawa Hotel Room

On Tuesday at approximately 12:50 p.m., a 60-year-old man was found dead in a hotel in Jigawa after experiencing breathing difficulties shortly after ordering a meal. He had checked into the hotel with a 20-year-old woman.

The Yalwawa Police Division, represented by Police Public Relations Officer SP Lawan Shiisu Adam, responded to a distress call and transported the man to General Hospital Dutse, where he was pronounced dead. The police secured the scene and conducted a preliminary investigation, recovering food items, beverages, a suspected sexual enhancement substance, and personal belongings for forensic examination.

The deceased's remains were released to his family for burial following medical certification of death. The woman accompanying him is cooperating with investigators.

The Commissioner of Police in Jigawa State assured the public of a thorough and impartial investigation and urged against the spread of rumors that could cause panic.
