NTDA Demands Investigation into C&S Elder's Death

The Nigerian Tourism Development Authority (NTDA) has demanded a thorough investigation into the suspicious death of Omotayo Ezekiel Fajana, a prominent leader of the Cherubim and Seraphim Church, whose lifeless body was discovered in a hotel room in Akungba Akoko. In a statement issued in Abuja, NTDA Director General Ola Awakan expressed deep sorrow and extended condolences to the deceased's family and the church community.

Awakan raised serious concerns regarding safety and security within Nigeria's hospitality industry, stressing that the circumstances surrounding Fajana's death require urgent clarification. Reports indicate that the deceased's body was handled without proper medical certification, alongside allegations of suspicious activities, which have heightened concerns about possible foul play.

Awakan commended the Ondo State Police Command for swiftly arresting three suspects linked to the case and called for a thorough, transparent, and professional investigation. He emphasized the need to restore public confidence in the hospitality sector and ensure guest safety.
