AEDC Resolves Maitama Substation Issues, Repairs Begin

The Abuja Electricity Distribution Plc (AEDC) announced the resolution of long-standing issues at the Maitama Substation, which had faced weeks of disruption due to invasion and encroachment. In a statement, AEDC confirmed that sustained engagements and the intervention of key stakeholders enabled repair works to begin.

The management expressed gratitude to Barrister Nyesom Ezenwo Wike, the Minister of the Federal Capital Territory, and Chief Joseph Olasunkanmi Tegbe, the Minister of Power, for their swift intervention and support. Their involvement was crucial in achieving a positive outcome.

Technical teams have mobilized to the site to reinstate and restore the damaged electricity infrastructure. AEDC assured residents that efforts are being made to complete the works safely and restore electricity supply promptly.
