Accountants Urged to Embrace Technology and Change

During the unveiling of the maiden newsletter, ICAN Oluyol Insight, on Saturday in Ibadan, Dr. Olawal Dopemu, Chairman of the ICAN Oluyol District Society, emphasized the necessity for accountants to remain informed and proactive in adapting to rapid technological advancements and evolving regulatory frameworks.

He noted that the accounting profession is undergoing significant changes due to advancements in technology, artificial intelligence, and corporate governance reforms. Dopemu explained that the newsletter aims to serve as a platform for community analysis and discussion within the profession, promoting understanding and informed decision-making.

He commended the editorial team and encouraged members to contribute articles and share ideas to celebrate professional achievements. Olaitan Babatund, a member of the ICAN governing council, highlighted the importance of continuous knowledge sharing to build trust and understanding within the profession.

Dr. Oluwatosin Adesina, the public editor of the newsletter, stated that the publication would provide technical knowledge and guidance to enhance the profession's dynamism.
