Bino Dauda Yaro Declares Senate Bid for Adamawa South

On Tuesday, Bino Dauda Yaro officially declared his intent to contest for the Senate seat representing Adamawa South under the African Democratic Congress (ADC) for a third term. The announcement took place in Numan, where he attended an event with party stakeholders and supporters.

Yaro emphasized his commitment to consolidating the gains made during his seven years in office, promising to surpass previous achievements and continue investing in vital sectors that directly impact the lives of the people. He expressed disappointment with the APC-led federal government, particularly criticizing President Bola Ahmed Tinubu's administration for sidelining the development agenda of the Adamawa South senatorial district.

Yaro pointed out the lack of tangible federal government presence in the district, which he believes warrants a shift in voter support towards the ADC in the upcoming 2027 elections. Additionally, he expressed frustration over Tinubu's refusal to assent to a proposed bill for establishing a federal university of education in Numan.
