Adamawa Schools to Resume on May 4, 2026

The Adamawa State government has officially announced the resumption date for public primary and secondary schools, which is set for May 4, 2026, marking the beginning of the third term for the 2025/2026 academic session. This announcement was made by Dr.

Murtala Umar Babayi, the chairman of the Adamawa State Universal Basic Education Board (ADSUBEB). In his statement, Babayi instructed school administrators and head teachers to ensure adequate preparations for the resumption.

He emphasized the necessity for schools to maintain a clean and conducive learning environment and to provide essential teaching and learning materials. Furthermore, he highlighted the importance of ensuring that both teaching and non-teaching staff are fully prepared for the immediate commencement of academic activities, stressing the need for punctuality among staff and pupils.
