Adamawa's NYSC Camp Set for Next Batch, Fintiri Assures

On Friday, during the swearing-in ceremony for the 2026 Batch B, Stream II youth corps members in Damare, Girei Local Government Area, Adamawa State Governor Ahmadu Fintiri, represented by Chief of Staff Dr Edgar Amos, assured that the new permanent National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) orientation camp would be ready for the next batch. He stated that construction was at an advanced stage and expressed confidence that future batches would utilize the facility.

Fintiri reiterated his administration's commitment to the welfare of youth corps members, promising continued payment of the N30,000 monthly allowance. He encouraged corps members to respect local laws and customs while promoting peaceful coexistence.

Wali Yakubu, the Commissioner for Youth and Sports Development, congratulated the corps members and urged them to engage in community development projects. Adamawa NYSC Coordinator Caroline Chinedu reported that 1,520 corps members, comprising 779 males and 741 females, had registered for the orientation, while also appealing for urgent attention to electricity issues at the camp.
