Adamawa Governor Fast-Tracks Army Division Certificate

On Thursday, Governor Ahmadu Fintiri of Adamawa State committed to the prompt issuance of a Certificate of Occupancy for the new 10 Division of the Nigerian Army, which will be established in Adamawa State. This division is intended to serve both Adamawa and Taraba states.

Fintiri's announcement came during a meeting with a delegation from the Nigerian Army Headquarters led by Major General Ime Basi, who represented the Chief of Army Staff, Lieutenant General Waidi Shaibu. The governor described the establishment of the new division as a crucial step towards improving rapid response to emerging security threats.

He stated that all necessary documentation, including the Certificate of Occupancy, would be finalized within two weeks to facilitate the construction of military facilities. Major General Ime Basi emphasized that the new division would increase troop presence in strategic areas, thereby enhancing the protection of lives and property in the two states.

He also requested temporary land for the immediate deployment of troops while permanent barracks and operational facilities are being constructed.
