ADC Alliance Worries Tinubu Ahead of 2027 Elections

Aisha Yesufu, a chieftain of the African Democratic Congress (ADC), remarked that the emerging alliance among opposition leaders is giving President Bola Ahmed Tinubu sleepless nights as the 2027 elections approach. Yesufu made these comments in a post on Tuesday, expressing that the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) is uneasy about this political alignment.

She urged support for the opposition and emphasized the importance of not being discouraged by potential pushback from the ruling party. Additionally, renowned economist and banker Hayatu Deen has announced his intention to contest for the ADC presidential ticket in the upcoming 2027 general elections.

In an interview with Arise Television, Deen promised to address economic hardships and insecurity, which he described as urgent challenges facing Nigeria. He highlighted the rising cost of living and worsening insecurity as critical issues that require immediate leadership intervention.
