ADC Condemns Bandit Attacks in Katsina, Urges Action

The African Democratic Congress (ADC), represented by its state chairman Lawal Tukur Batagarawa, has condemned the recent resurgence of bandit attacks in Katsina State, specifically highlighting incidents in the Matazu and Musawa local government areas. Batagarawa expressed deep concern over the worsening security situation, which has led to multiple casualties, including police officers, and the destruction of residential properties during these attacks.

He lamented that such violence occurred despite a previously reported peace agreement aimed at stabilizing the affected communities. Batagarawa attributed the ongoing insecurity to inadequate leadership and the failure of relevant authorities to provide sufficient protection for citizens, emphasizing that it is the primary responsibility of the government to safeguard lives and property.

The ADC extended condolences to the families of victims and urged the government and security agencies to adopt proactive measures to address the security challenges and restore peace across the state.
