ADC Declares Senator Destini's Suspension Illegal

The African Democratic Congress (ADC) has declared the suspension of Senator Destini illegal, taking action against three officials from the Wuse Ward in Abuja who were involved in the controversial suspension. The sanctioned officials include Ward Chairman Kanayo Chukwu, alongside Amanda Pam and Omal Suleiman.

ADC leadership stated that the suspension lacked legitimacy as the required procedures were not followed, and no formal complaint had been received against Senator Destini. John Hyginu, the party's FCT Secretary, criticized the administration for breaching the party's constitution.

Earlier, the Wuse Ward officials had announced the suspension of Senator Destini, accusing him of anti-party activities, insubordination, and withholding campaign funds during recent area council elections. However, the national leadership of the ADC quickly distanced itself from the suspension, with Bolaji Abdullahi, the party's national public secretary, urging the public to treat the reports as false and misleading.
