PAACA Urges ADC to Resolve Internal Disputes Administratively

The PAACA, represented by Executive Director Ezenwa Nwagwu, has called for the ADC leadership to adopt administrative solutions to resolve its internal disputes, warning that the current approach could portray the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) in a biased light and erode public trust in democratic institutions ahead of the 2027 general elections. Nwagwu noted that the ADC's crisis stems from a failure to effectively manage internal disagreements, which have unnecessarily escalated tensions.

He emphasized the importance of establishing administrative channels to handle disputes and avoid public controversies, referencing past disputes within the People's Democratic Party (PDP) that were resolved without public escalation. Nwagwu cautioned that while opposition parties often seek public sympathy, the ADC must demonstrate due diligence and respect for due process in managing its affairs.

He highlighted the need for political parties in Nigeria to strengthen internal governance and adhere strictly to procedural frameworks to manage disputes effectively.
