ADC Uploads Atiku Abubakar and Amaechi to INEC Portal

The African Democratic Congress (ADC) confirmed the successful upload of its presidential candidate, Alhaji Atiku Abubakar, and vice-presidential candidate, Rotimi Chibuik Amaechi, to the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) portal. Mallam Bolaji Abdullahi, the ADC's national publicity secretary, described this action as a significant step towards the 2027 general elections, emphasizing the party's commitment to providing Nigerians with a credible alternative built on unity.

INEC disclosed that nine political parties have so far collected access codes to upload their candidates ahead of the elections. Malam Haruna, an INEC official, stated that the commission is responsible for voter education and public engagement.

The nine parties that have collected access codes include the Action Alliance (AA), African Democratic Congress (ADC), All Progressives Congress (APC), Labour Party (LP), National Democratic Congress (NDC), National Democratic Party (NDP), People’s Redemption Party (PRP), and Social Democratic Party (SDP). Political parties are advised to adhere strictly to the rules set by INEC regarding candidate nominations.
